How To Juggle The Kids School Holidays, Viewings & Marketing Your Home

This is our weekly catchup on matters which impact the market today & this week deals with the question of how to juggle the school holidays with viewers & marketing your home.
Both I, Jacqui B & our valuer David have been estate agents for over 30 years. This has given us a diverse skill set to be able to share the best ways to handle situations that you may find stressful in the house selling process.

Historically the property market was seasonal, with peaks in the Spring & Autumn, and lulls in the summer holidays and at Christmas. But in the same way that you can now buy strawberries in January & Asparagus in October the seasons in property marketing have been washed away.

We are now much more driven by immediate action regardless of the time of year. This is great for everyone selling & buying, but only if you work TO A PLAN to ensure that you & your agent are getting the best out of the market regardless of the time of year.

The school summer holidays are a time when you definitely need a plan. The video gives you some tips on how to get the best out of the market & minimise the JUGGLE TIME.

This includes:
1. Leave keys with the agent to accompany all viewings whilst you are away on holiday. You leave your home tidy, we do the viewings, you come home relaxed & refreshed, we arrange to meet up & discuss the offers received.
2. If you have the children at home all week, choose 3 days when viewings will be convenient & arrange for these days to be your fun days out. When you are out the agent can do the viewings & you can focus on fun time.
3. Add a visit to the park hour every day so that there is an hour each day when viewings can be appointed.
