Minimise The Stress By Using a Recommended Solicitor.

This is our weekly catchup on matters which impact the market today & this week deals with the question of why using a Recommended Solicitor Can MINIMISE the STRESS
Both I, Jacqui B & our valuer David have been estate agents for over 30 years. This has given us a diverse skill set to be able to share the best ways to handle situations that you may find stressful in the house selling process.

This week we discuss why using a solicitor who works alongside the agent is the key to MINIMISING your STRESS.

The conveyance protocol is one of the least expensive transactions which a solicitor charge for. If you consider that most solicitors will charge in around £225 per hour for civil or matrimonial matters, you can then start to picture why a conveyancer charging £800 for their time for the whole transaction is a long way short of what their colleagues may be earning.

This has brought about the advent of FEE EARNERS who will be licensed to compete the conveyance. They will have a team of admin support staff who will collate the documents and will only pass it to the fee earner when they believe it is ready to exchange. You think that you all set to move & the fee earner raises a myriad of questions or further enquiries, and you are back to where you were three weeks ago.

At Jacksons we have two solicitors who we recommend. All agents get kick back or referral fees for recommendations. Regardless of what we get paid we will not recommend if the service isn't what we are expecting. Both firms know that if their standards drop that we will not use them. It is way more important to us as a business that you get the best service with the minimum stress & most communication.

GDPR means that lots of solicitors won’t speak with anyone but their client. This means you chasing for updates and most frustratingly the update will only be on YOUR MATTER. By using a recommended solicitor, we develop contact throughout the chain to be able to pull it all together and give you an overview of the situation.
