Before 2020 enters, you might want to consider making some New Year’s resolutions. Why not set yourself a few new challenging’s, such as taking up a dance class, learning a new language, or learning how to budget and save. Psychologists have found we're more likely to succeed if we break our resolution into smaller goals that are specific, measurable and time-based, so give it ago and see what you can achieve.

Many people feel motivated to make significant changes when the new year rolls in, and for some people that means moving house. If you are renting your choices are right there waiting for you, so it is time to get out and have a look. For those looking to sell and buy somewhere new, there is a little more work to do. Did you know the best month of the year to add your house to the market is March? This means you have a couple of months to clear some of those niggling jobs you have been putting off, like fixing the dripping tap or painting the spare room. Preparing a house for the market can take some time and involves removing clutter and creating a blank canvas. Many buyers can lack imagination and if they see bright decor that they don't like, they find it difficult to visualise themselves living there. Selling your home in March also gives you plenty of time to find your new dream property when there is a lot to choose from on the market.
